Christopher M. Hodgson, a graduate of Georgetown University's Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration program and the American College's Master of Science in Financial Services, is the proud owner and operator of Coastal Financial since 1999. He holds the following industry designations: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional (CFP®), a Certified Family Business Specialist (CFBS), and is Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC). He also holds a Certificate in Business Succession Planning from the American College.

A pillar of the local community, Chris has served on the board of the United Way of Greater New Bedford as Chairman of the Board, Campaign Chair, member of the Finance Committee, and member of the Executive Committee. Additionally, he is part of the Board of Trustees of the Southcoast Health Systems.

Chris currently lives in South Dartmouth, MA with his wife, Lisa, and their wire-haired dachshund, Sophie, who often greets clients at the office. He is thrilled to work alongside his son, Chris Jr., who is a Financial Planner in the practice. In his free time, Chris enjoys traveling, boating, and having a good meal with friends.
